The Friends of Walnut Community
School is an organization intended to combine the Walnut Alumni Association and the Parent-Teacher Organization. Its goal
is to help keep our school strong and viable for years to come, through advocacy, volunteerism, and fundraising.
Who Can Join?
You don’t have to
be a parent, teacher, or alumnus of Walnut. The Friends group is open to anyone with an interest in helping to keep a quality K-12 school in Walnut.
What does it cost?
Just your time.There are
no dues.
What’s the First
Initiative?
Facility Improvements: We hope to make improvements in order to improve the “look” of the school. Why? To assist our school in its ongoing
efforts to increase our enrollment, by improving the sense of pride among current students, and by helping attract new families
to our school and community.
The Dale Lynch committee has targeted the Friends’ first initiative
for funding from their recent 2007 fundraiser.
